“Mission X: Train like an astronaut” | 8th Primary School of Thebes (Greece)

Image
Students from 8th Primary School of Thebes (Greece ) learn the key elements to keeping fit and staying healthy in space and on Earth with “Mission X: Train like an astronaut” , a free educational project for young people (up to 14 years old) by the European Space Agency (ESA) and the UK Space Agency (UKSA), facilitated nationally by the European Space Education Resource Offices (ESEROs) and volunteer National Organisers. In this set of activities, students learn about the different components of plants. They learn which parts of well-known plants are edible and learn the difference between a vegetable, a fruit and a seed. The students imagine and draw the plant associated with the fruit/vegetable/seed they are observing. They also learn that different plants require different growth conditions and give different yields. Based on this they consider which plants are suitable for growing in space as a good source of nutrition for astronauts. School : 8th Primary School of Thebes Greece Te

Class AP4A | Ms Carla Nunes - Safer Internet Day'24

Image
On Internet Day, AP4A class learnt about artificial intelligence. We made a word cloud about the concept and explored the uses of AI in our daily lives. Do you know what AI is? It's a way of creating machines or programmes that can think and learn like humans. For example, do you know when we use Google Translate to translate a sentence from Portuguese into English? That's an example of artificial intelligence, which uses algorithms to understand and produce different languages. Artificial intelligence can be very useful, but it also has risks. That's why we should use the internet responsibly and with respect for others. Remember: the internet is a wonderful place, but it can also be dangerous. So always be smart and safe online!
